Kia recently launched the new Rio in the international market. This time around, the car manufacturer has gone a step ahead and introduced the limited edition Rio Pulse at £14,595 on road (approx. Rs 12.23 lakh). The special edition model is available in clear white and midnight black colour options.
To distinguish it from a regular model, the Rio Pulse is available with a red roof, red front vents, mirror caps and side skirt trims. The vehicle sits on 17-inch alloy wheels with 205/45 R17 tyres, gets a black radiator grille with chrome surround, while the rear side windows and tailgate get a privacy glass. As for the interior, it gets black and red faux leather upholstery and red faux leather door inserts. The steering wheel and the gearshifter are wrapped in sporty leather upholstery. Additionally, the vehicle also gets stainless steel pedals, a five-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 3.5-inch cluster display.
Mechanically, the Kia Rio Pulse is powered by a 1.25-litre, four-cylinder, 16-valve petrol engine that generates 83bhp at 6,000rpm and 121Nm of torque peaking at 4,000rpm. Mated to five-speed manual gearbox, the vehicle sprints from 0 to 100kmph in 12.5 seconds and has a top speed of 172kmph. Speaking of safety features, the Kia Rio Pulse gets electronic stability control, vehicle stability management, cornering brake control, straight-line stability and hill start assist.
