Kia Motors has launched the EV9 in India with the GT Line variant priced at Rs. 1.3 crore (ex-showroom Delhi). It can be had with a leasing option and was unveiled alongside the new Carnival.
The Kia EV9 is the carmaker’s flagship three-row fully electric SUV based on the E-GMP platform. It sports a sharp-looking fascia with a blanked-off grille and vertical LED headlights with integrated LED DRLs. The design of the LED tail lights is similar and the SUV features flush-fitting door handles, squared-off wheel arches, and rides on 20-inch wheels as seen on the car on stage.
Inside, the EV9 has three rows of seats and the dashboard has a clean design. The major highlights include a four-spoke steering wheel and a wide screen incorporating the digital instrument cluster and the touchscreen infotainment system. Moreover, the EV boasts an ADAS suite with 27 latest autonomous driving-assist features.
Powertrain
The EV9 GT-line in India is the long-range variant that comes with a 99.8kWh battery offering 561km of range. This model comes with a dual-motor setup with a combined output of 379bhp and 700Nm of torque. It can fast charge through a 350kWh DC charger from 0-80 percent in just 24 minutes.
