- Q2 FY25 sales increased 41 per cent
- Limited production Ranthambore Edition launched in India
JLR India has achieved 36 per cent year-over-year (YoY) growth in retail sales for the first half of fiscal year 2025 (H1 FY25), with 3,214 units sold. A strong increase in sales of 41 per cent in Q2 FY25 followed an increase of 31 per cent in Q1 FY25.
In an official statement, the company said that this robust performance was driven by improved supplies and sustained demand for the iconic Range Rover and Defender models, particularly with the local manufacture of the entire Range Rover portfolio. Last month also saw the successful launch of the first-ever India-inspired Bespoke SV—the Ranthambore Edition, with all 12 limited editions pre-booked.
Rajan Amba, Managing Director, JLR India said, “FY25 has been a high point for us so far. Our strategic decision to manufacture Range Rover and Range Rover Sport locally has yielded impressive results, with orders surging by 60%. The Defender's remarkable 75 per cent growth in H1 FY25 is a testament to its ever-increasing popularity. Our Q2 standalone growth of 41 per cent and highest-ever H1 retail numbers reflect this momentum. “As we enter the festive season, we are confident in maintaining this momentum through the second half of the year, driven by our robust product portfolio and customer-centric approach,” he added.
