After marking its public debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, the Jeep Wrangler X special edition model has gone on sale in the US. Based on the Wrangler Sahara model, the Wrangler X is available in both two- and four-door versions.
The Wrangler X offers what Jeep calls a unique exterior package that includes black accents on the front grille and headlamp rings, a Power Dome hood with functional air vents, Wrangler X hood decal, gloss black Jeep badge, deep tint sunscreen glass, body- coloured hardtop and fender flares and black fuel filler.
Inside, standard features include a nine-speaker Alpine audio system with all-weather subwoofer, all-weather slush mats, leather-trimmed seats with sporty fabric inserts, leather-wrapped steering wheel, embroidered logo on seatbacks and standard heated front seats among others.
The Wrangler X is on sale in the US with prices starting at $33,295 (RS 20.69 lakh). While it may never come to India, Jeep has promised that it will include the standard Wrangler to its India line-up which will also include the Grand Cherokee.
