What you see are shots of the 2019 Jeep Wrangler pick-up that was recently spotted testing.
Till date, all spy pictures of this pick-up were taken from a distance, but this time around we have better close-up shots which reveal some more details. On closer inspection, it is apparent that the Wrangler pickup will get the same suspension setup that its SUV iteration is equipped with. Rear axle damping is being taken care of by coil-springs and not leaf springs.
The Wrangler pick-up is based on the long-wheelbase Wrangler Unlimited platform and if you look closely, it also gets away with similar front-end styling too. It is expected to carry the same dimensions as the Chevrolet Colorado or the Toyota Tacoma. Like the Wrangler, this pick-up will also use more aluminium panels to save weight and it is rumoured that it will get the 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 motor that’s coupled to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Though the idea of a hybrid power-plant is being speculated, there’s no confirmation as of now.
Jeep is expected to launch this pick-up late next year before it rolls into showrooms.
