The 2018 Jeep Wrangler specs have been leaked ahead of its official launch in the US by the end of 2017. Along with fresh cosmetic detailing, the new model also gets new petrol engine options. The SUV will continue to be offered in two-door and four-door variants, however this time around, the Wrangler will feature a folding windscreen.
The new Jeep Wrangler will no longer be powered by a 2.8-litre engine and will instead be powered by either a 2.0-litre four-cylinder or a 3.6-litre V6 engine. Reports indicate that the new model might also be offered with a hybrid system. Eight-speed automatic transmission is offered as standard on both the engine options while the six-speed manual transmission option will be limited to the 3.6-litre variant only. Along with the impressive off-road handling, the vehicle will also get a system which is designed to prevent trailer snaking.
Inside, the 2018 Jeep Wrangler offers a choice between 7-inch and 8.4-inch infotainment units. The displays get the integrated climate control system, while the larger display additionally offers the Sat-Nav support. Along with the adjustable electronic stability control, the new Wrangler also gets automatic emergency braking and rain brake support. The new Jeep Wrangler’s launch date remains unannounced for now and is expected to be launched in India sometime in the second half of 2018.
