The Jeep Renegade has been spotted on test in India. Covered from front to back in camouflage that seems unique to Fiat cars, the Renegade was spotted doing the rounds and trailing behind another camouflaged car spotted in the distance and appearing to be another compact SUV that FCA will launch next year.
The solitary image shows the unmistakeable shape of the Renegade and confirms that FCA is indeed testing the vehicle for the Indian market. The car was unveiled in late 2014 and is offered with petrol and diesel engines. However, our sources tell us that we in India will only get the 2.0-litre diesel engined model with full-time AWD.
The assembly of the Jeep Renegade is expected to begin locally from next year onwards and will be built for LHD and RHD markets. Though this is likely to happen only once the car has been launched locally.
