The Jeep Renegade compact SUV has been spotted on test in China. Though the car is fully camouflaged we already know what it looks like thanks to it already going on sale in America. The car is expected to be launched in China later this year and unlike earlier plans of beginning sales through the CBU route, this car will be locally produced.
The Renegade is a compact SUV carrying all the famous jeep lines and looks including the slatted grille and muscular stance. The China-spec model will be offered with two petrol engines- a 1.4-litre four pot mill mated to a six-speed DCT/manual and a 2.4-litre four-cylinder mill mated to a nine-speed AT.
The China-spec Renegade will be produced at the Guangzhou-Fiat plant in Guangzhou City alongside the Jeep Compass and at later date the Fiat 500X.
