- New off-road oriented variant of the Compass
- Diesel power only
- Likely to introduce AT option for the diesel range
- Two-tone paint scheme
The Jeep Compass Trailhawk variant has been spied on test. The car has been showcased at dealer events but never to the public so far.
As the name suggests, its an off-road oriented version of Jeep’s smallest SUV for India and gets an equipment package to match the name. This includes high ground clearance (as compared to the standard car), off-roading equipment and a two-tone paint scheme.
The Indian car market will get the Compass Trailhawk with diesel power only and this engine is Jeep’s 2.0-litre unit producing 171bhp/350Nm. Sources suggest that this car will debut the AT option for the diesel range and this is likely to be a nine-speed unit. The pictures also reveal that the Trailhawk variant will get a dual tone paint job and a different design for the alloy wheels as compared to the standard models.
We expect Jeep to price the Trailhawk variant Rs 2 - 3 lakhs over the price of the current top spec variant.
