- Entry-level variant receives a massive price cut
Jeep India revised the prices of its most affordable SUV, the Compass, in June 2024. With the latest price update, the Compass range starts at an ex-showroom price of Rs. 18.99 lakh. As a result, the entry-level Sport variant, which previously retailed at Rs. 20.69 lakh (ex-showroom), has received a massive price cut of Rs. 1.70 lakh.
The Jeep Compass can be had in six variants, namely, Sport, Longitude, Night Eagle, Limited, Black Shark, and Model S. While the price of the Sport variant has been reduced significantly, all other variants have incurred a uniform price hike of Rs. 14,000.
Mechanically, post the discontinuation of the petrol engine last year, the Jeep Compass can only be had with a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine. This motor is coupled with a six-speed manual and a nine-speed automatic torque converter transmission unit.
