Late in July this year, American car manufacturer Jeep had introduced its most affordable product, the Compass, in India. The SUV was launched in petrol as well as diesel engine options. Although the deliveries for the diesel version started earlier, the petrol version is slated to start soon. This time around, the petrol automatic variant of the Jeep Compass has arrived at dealerships, thereby indicating that the deliveries are likely to commence this festive season. The Jeep Compass is available in India in three variants - Sport, Longitude and Limited.
The Jeep Compass attracts a waiting period of up to two months. Although Jeep dealers have been accepting bookings for the petrol variant of the Compass, the manual petrol variant is yet to be offered for test drive and its waiting period stretches up to three months. The petrol variant is powered by a 1.4-litre Multiair turbocharged engine that generates 161bhp of power and 250Nm of peak torque. The petrol engine gets an optional DCT transmission along with a six-speed manual gearbox.
The petrol version of the Jeep Compass is available in three variants - Sports, Limited, and Limited Option. In terms of features it gets passive keyless entry and engine start/stop button, new sandstorm sedoso fabric interior and dark saddle stitching and 6-speakers. As for the interior it gets Ski-Grey Mckinley leather interior with leather seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel and door scuff plates. Other features include - roof rails, Bi-functional projector headlamps, rear parcel shelf, a bigger 7-inch touchscreen system equipped with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual-zone climate control, active carbon air filter and LED position lights.
