-Same features as the Longitude (O) diesel variant
-1.4-litre Multi Air petrol with seven-speed AT
Jeep is now offering the Compass in a petrol AT Longitude (O) variant. There was previously only a diesel manual on offer in this variant level. It is priced at Rs 18.90 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
The Longitude (O) petrol has the same feature list as its diesel counterpart and so it gets front and rear fog lamps, 17-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry go, 7.0-inch touchscreen display, climate control, roof rails and projector headlamps.
The engine is a 1.4-litre Multi-Air petrol producing 160bhp/250Nm and mated to a seven-speed AT. So far, only the petrol AT option had been on offer with the Limited and Limited Plus variants and this is the first time that Jeep has introduced a mid-level petrol AT model.
In terms of competition, this variant undercuts its rivals significantly as it is a lower spec model when compared to the petrol AT variants of the Hyundai Tucson. It is also expected to be a significant rival to the Tata Harrier as it is expected to match the XT variant, but with a petrol and AT option.
