Jeep India has launched the Bedrock edition of the Compass to commemorate the 25,000 sales milestone in the country. It is priced at Rs. 17.53 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). The SUV garnered a positive response since its launch in July last year in India and has helped FCA achieve their best 12 months in the last 10 years.
The Bedrock Limited Edition is available in the entry-level Sport trim with the diesel powertrain. It is powered by the 2.0-litre MultiJet turbodiesel that generates 170bhp and 350Nm mated to a six-speed manual transmission and comes with a 4x2 configuration. The Bedrock Limited Edition comes with special additions like reverse parking camera, 16-inch gloss black alloy wheels, side step for ingress, special ‘Bedrock’ branded seat covers, black roof rails and premium floor mats besides Bedrock decals and monograms all around the car. It can be availed in three colour options – Vocal White, Minimal Grey and Exotica Red. All these additions amount to Rs 94,000 for the special edition over the standard variant.

FCA commenced the manufacturing of the Compass at their Ranjangaon facility on 1 June last year. The carmaker has already exported over 8,000 locally-produced units of the Compass to international markets like Japan, Australia, the UK and Ireland. FCA currently has 65 sales and service outlets across the country and aims to increase it to 70 by the end of 2018.
