James Douglas Muir Leno, popularly known as Jay Leno, will host a new TV show based on cars. The multi-talented Leno will be seen hosting this show for CNBC, the channel made an announcement yesterday.
The show will be aired during prime time and is tentatively titled ‘Leno’s Garage.’ It will be a platform that will show Leno sharing his passion for motoring.
Leno said it will be about “anything that rolls explodes and makes noise.”
The legendary host did a one hour special for the channel in August. “Jay Leno's Garage: The Ultimate Car Week” marked his first return to hosting since he vacated NBC's “The Tonight Show” last February.
Jay Leno is also a hardcore motoring enthusiast who owns more than 280 vehicles which includes cars and motorcycles. His illustrious resume also includes acting, voice acting, writing, production and of course hosting that got him fame.
Arguably, the best car show in the world is BBC’s Top Gear which is watched by people everywhere. Can Leno bring such magic in his new show? It is least likely, but we feel they shouldn’t try and create a Top Gear, instead create something unique.
