The Jaguar XJ facelift has been spotted on test with almost minimal camouflage. Now in its fifth year of production, the flagship car from the British automaker gets minimal changes on the outside hinting that they may have larger plans for the model in 2016.
The pictures in an obvious manner reveal that the XJ will get revised headlamps and tail lamps in addition to what appears to be a new front bumper. There is no doubt that the XJ is a handsome car and it seems that big J is aware of this and is going with the philosophy of ‘If it isn’t broke don’t fix it’. Where we do expect changes are the underpinnings and cabin. The former maybe limited to a few upgrades but the latter is expected to undergo a major overhaul especially in the infotainment system.
We expect that Jaguar will launch the facelifted XJ and XJ L by the middle of next year and then bring the LWB model to India a few months later with a minor revision in prices. It is also possible that they may start to assemble more versions of the car at the Pune plant once the car is launched.
