Jaguar Land Rover will debut its most powerful sedan the XFR-S at the 2012 LA Motor Show that will begin in a few days. This is the second model in the performance oriented R-S range and only 200 examples of this model will be made available to the US market in 2014.
Not many details are known about this new saloon apart from the fact that it will be powered by a 5.0-litre V8 engine which produces 540bhp and 680Nm of torque. This kind of power is expected to give the XFR-S a top speed of 290kmph. While most of the car is similar to its more ‘I chauffer people around in utmost luxury’ twin, some sporty touches like a ventilated hood, side skirts, low front fenders, LED lights in the back and front and a large rear wing have been added. The price is likely to be 83,000 dollars (Rs 45.7 lakh before duties).
It is unlikely that this car will come to India, however we can expect that many of its features will be there in future versions of the car. JLR will also display the new Range Rover and the recently launched F-Type at the LA Motor Show.
