British automaker Jaguar will be entering the 2012 Goodwood Revival with its race ready C-type and D-type cars under the banner of Jaguar Heritage Racing. This event marks the team’s successful completion of first season in classic car motorsports. The Jaguar Heritage Racing has recorded already victories at the Monaco Historique, Le Mans Classic and the Nurburgring AvD Oldtimer Grand Prix in 2012.
The race-ready C-type and D-type will participate in the Freddie March Memorial Trophy and Sussex Trophy respectively, at the 2012 Goodwood Revival. In addition, Jaguar Cars’ partner in Jaguar Heritage Racing, JD Classics, will enter a race prepared Jaguar Mk. 7 saloon in the St Mary’s Trophy race.
Commenting on the entry, Adrian Hallmark, Global Brand Director, Jaguar said “the Goodwood Revival is an excellent opportunity to celebrate Jaguar’s history and a showcase for our enduring and distinctive brand of values, innovative technology and sporting performance."
Jaguar will also have on display a period recreation of the Earls Court Motor Show, where it will present a C-type and XK 120. Accompanying these on the Richmond Lawn will be a C-type, D-type and XK 140.
