Jaguar has unveiled its most extreme road car yet in the form of the F-Type SVR. Following its online appearance sometime back, the F-Type SVR has been officially detailed including the price and the specs. Jaguar has announced that this new hard-core performance model will be available in the UK from £110,000 (Rs 1.07 crore) for the Coupe and £115,485 (Rs 1.12 crore) for the Convertible model.
The SVR costs a substantial £20,000 (Rs 19.57 lakh) over the regular V8 F-Type R AWD. It’s the first Jaguar model to be tuned by JLR’s Special Vehicle Operations department. The latter has reworked the 5-litre supercharged V8 engine to develop well over 560bhp of power and 700Nm of torque. Thanks to the added power, all-wheel drive and the quick-shifting 8-speed automatic gearbox, the F-Type SVR can accelerate from 0-100kmph in 3.5 seconds and hit a top speed of 320kmph. The regular flagship model, meanwhile, maxes out at 300kmph.
Besides a more powerful engine, the F-Type SVR also gets a tauter suspension, a titanium exhaust and carbon ceramic brakes. Stay tuned for full details on this hardcore new model which will make its public debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month.
