Jaguar – Land Rover, the Tata Motors-owned British marque, is on its way to launch their entire Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) range in India. While we already have had a taste of the Range Rover Sport SVR, now the Range Rover SV Autobiography and the limited-edition SV Coupe are also being lined up.
The latest version of the Range Rover Sport SVR is all set to arrive in the next quarter followed by the top-of-the-line Range Rover SV Autobiography. The legendary 5.0-litre supercharged V8 will power all the SVO cars which means you can expect them to generate horsepower north of 500bhp in each of them. While the Range Rover Sport SVR tilts towards a sporty setup with stiffer suspension and a raunchy exhaust note to go along, the daddy Range Rover is all about luxurious opulence and comfort.
Also included in the list is Jaguar’s supercar - the F-type SVR. Producing about 10 per cent more horsepower than the standard F-Type R from the same 5.0-litre mill, the SVR gets sharper bumpers, custom exhaust and of course, a retuned suspension. While the Jaguar is expected in the third quarter of 2018, the limited-edition three-door Range Rover SV Coupe will come in the last quarter of this year. The SV Coupe debuted at Geneva earlier this month and only a handful of the 999 units will be offered in India.
With the SVO entering the Indian car market, Jaguar – Land Rover is looking forward to tap those car buyers who are looking at exclusivity for their machines with a personal touch through customisations.
