Tata owned Jaguar Land Rover, have delivered a strong sales performance in May. The total sales of the two companies put together stood at 38,831 vehicles, out of which 32,381 were by Land Rover and 6,450 by Jaguar. This figure is up by 20 per cent in comparison to the same period last year.
Jaguar Land Rover’s regional performance in May was as follows: the China Region up by 53 per cent, North America up by 19 per cent, the UK sales are up by 15per cent, Asia Pacific has shown an increase of 11 per cent, and Europe up by 8 per cent.
Commenting on the May performance Andy Goss, Jaguar Land Rover Group Sales Operations Director said: “This has been another solid month for Jaguar Land Rover with continued strong demand for models across the range in our international markets. The continued success of the F-Type convertible, coupled with the launch of the coupe, has supported the Jaguar sales momentum. For Land Rover, the Range Rover Sport and Evoque continue to deliver impressive sales performances.”
This is an impressive performance by Jaguar Land Rover, out of the two companies; Land Rover has delivered a strong performance. Jaguar and Land Rover are well poised for the coming months and their performance in the upcoming quarter will rely largely on their mainstream models.
