Jaguar Land Rover has announced that it has opened a new parts and distribution centre (PDC) for the Indian market. This new centre is located in Bhiwandi near Mumbai and is spread across 70,000sqft.
This new centre will have regionally optimised inventory supporting both Jaguar and Land Rover brands. This PDC will have a dedicated on-site customer service team which will provide local customer service support to the expanding market for Jaguar Land Rover vehicles in India.
“This world-class parts distribution centre will further strengthen our service levels and the investment reinforces JLR’s long-term commitment to the Indian market," said Rohit Suri, president, Jaguar Land Rover India.
This is a very good initiative by the company because it is always better to have spares handy for luxurious cars. JLR is focusing a lot on completely-knocked-down (CKD) cars since the last many years and is prepping up for the launch of the XE sedan which is expected give the company volumes.
