Jaguar Land Rover, the premium luxury car maker in the UK, sold 37,171 vehicles in April this year. This shows a 30 per cent boost in sales in comparison to the same month last year. The company sold 1,61,947 cars in the first four months of this year, registering a 12 per cent increase in sales as against the figures of 2013.
While Jaguar sold 5,511 vehicles in April 2014, showing a 17 per cent hike, Land Rover captured a major chunk of sales with 31,660 units sold in the same month. Land Rover sales display 33 per cent boost in sales for the last month. The demand for the three Land Rover Range Rover models and the Jaguar F-Type helped the automaker to exhibit such good performance in terms of sales.
Andy Goss, Jaguar Land Rover Group Sales Operations Director, said, “April sales continue the positive momentum we saw in the first quarter of 2014. Alongside the F-Type, all three Range Rover models delivered record April sales performances reflecting the global appeal of our strongest ever vehicle line up.”
Jaguar Land Rover has bolstered its presence across Tier-I and Tier-II markets in India with the introduction of products and inauguration of service centres. The brand has reinforced its position in the segment of luxury cars in India by expanding their distribution network and bringing up customer engagement initiatives.
