The I-Pace is the British manufacturer’s first attempt at making an electric powered car. Jaguar is stepping into the game with an all-wheel-drive crossover called the I-Pace. The vehicle was first showcased at the 2016 Los Angeles Motor show and then the Geneva Motor Show.
A near-production car was spotted recently on the streets of Monaco without any camouflage, clearly revealing its looks and styling bits. The Jaguar I-Pace was seen shooting for a video which may be used for the car’s promotion post its debut.
Exterior of the vehicle shows that the production-ready car is faithful to its concept. Judging by the flow in the design and flared wheel arches, the looks haven’t changed much from the concept car showcased in the 2016 Los Angeles Motor show.
The manufacturer has already announced that the I-Pace will be powered by a 90-kWh battery which will run the two electric motors – one for each axle. A total combined output of the vehicle is 400bhp and 700Nm of torque which results in 0-100kmph in less than four seconds. The company claims a range of 500km on a full charge.
The Jaguar I-Pace is expected to debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
