Jaguar has taken the wraps off the F-Type SVR. As the name suggests, it is a special high performance version of the automaker’s sports car and will be officially unveiled at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show.
The pictures reveal an F-Type in coupe/convertible with an aggressive body kit that comprises front and rear splitters, side skirts and a rather mean looking rear spoiler that adds really well to the sporty image of the car. There are also slots on the hood for additional cooling.
We can also see black interiors for the coupe and brown for the convertible. Most of the cabin looks to be standard but we believe that there will be SVR badges in at least 2-3 places to signify the differences.
The engine will be the 5.0-litre supercharged V8 that produces 567bhp/700Nm. It is only being offered with the eight-speed AT and AWD option as standard. Carbon ceramic brakes, titanium exhaust and aluminium wheels have all contributed to a weight saving of 43kgs over the F-Type R.
It is expected to have an annual limited production run and will be priced higher than the F-Type R in both convertible and coupe form.
