The Jaguar F-Type Roadster has been spied during testing in Pune by the team at Indianautosblog. The spiritual successor to the legendary E-Type was unveiled during the 2012 Paris Motor Show last year and is expected to reach our shores by end of this year. Since the F-Type will be brought to the Indian market as a CBU, it is likely that this car is here for homologation process.
The reports says that the badges and logos have been covered up but is believed to be the F-Type S that is powered 3.0-V6 mill producing 380PS and 460Nm of torque. The top of the line F-Type 5.0-litre V8S is also expected to be launched here. This mill produces 495PS and 625Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels across all variants via a ZF eight-speed automatic gearbox.
The F-Type Coupe that was only rumoured to exist has also been spotted testing but it will be a while before we get any official word on the cars existence. This model looks closer to C-X16 concept car that was unveiled during 2012 Auto Expo and is expected to use the same set of engines as well as underpinngs from the roadster.
