A camouflaged prototype of the Jaguar F-Pace SVR was caught testing in Spain. Jaguar has already disclosed to reporters about their Special Vehicle Operation’s (SVO) intent to release more SVR models due to the success of the SVR versions of the Range Rover and F-Type.
We reported about spotting the F-Pace SVR at the Nurburgring back in September 2016. However, this time around, the test car hides the huge air intakes which is essential to help cool the supercharged 5.0-litre V8 motor that’s anticipated to make close to 500bhp. With the bump-up in performance, expect the SVR to get a firmer suspension set-up along with stronger brakes. Other additions include restyled alloys and quad exhaust pipes.
Reports also state that Jaguar has an XE SVR in the works which may be powered by the same 5.0-litre V8 motor to compete with the Audi RS4, BMW’s M3, and the Mercedes-AMG C63. Furthermore, Jaguar’s F-Pace SVR may be introduced in the global arena in the last quarter of 2017 or early 2018, so stay tuned to CarWale for details in the months to come.
