Not long ago did Jaguar officially confirm that it will introduce a luxury SUV to its line-up. While the brand is still tight-lipped on the details, this new model has been caught on camera quite a few times, this time undergoing cold weather tests.
Called the F-Pace, the vehicle represents Jaguar’s upcoming crossover based on the C-X17 concept. Going by the previous reports, the F-Pace will be offered as a five-seater luxury crossover designed to rival the likes of the BMW X3 and the Audi Q5.
The F-Pace will be based on the same aluminium platform which also underpins the new XE sedan. What this means is that the F-Pace, too, will benefit from Jaguar’s all-new Ingenium four-cylinder range of engines. The crossover is also expected to get bigger and more powerful engine options.
Those looking forward to the F-Pace would be happy to know that the crossover could be fully revealed during the run up to the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.
