The Jaguar F-Pace SUV has been spotted on test at the Nurburgring in Germany, a first for the British automaker. This new premium SUV is expected to make its production debut next year and was first shown as the C-X17 concept vehicle at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
The vehicle is heavily camouflaged but we can see much of the lines of the C-X17 concept car leading us to believe that a lot of what we saw in the concept car will be carried over to the production model. It is expected to take on the BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLC as well as the Audi Q5 which means that Jaguar needs to make it both powerful as well as good looking in production form.
The F-Pace is expected to get almost all of Jaguar’s petrol and diesel engine options while the gearbox option is expected to be only the ZF nine-speed unit. It will be produced at the Solihull plant alongside the XE sedan and is expected to be launched at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show with an Indian market debut in mid-2016.
