Jaguar’s CX-17 concept vehicle has taken shape and has been spied testing by our source. The vehicle will be called the F-Pace and will be the first SUV from the company that makes luxury sedans and sports cars.
According to Andy Goss, global sales director, Jaguar, the F-Pace will be “the ultimate practical sports car.”
It seems like they are focusing on agility more than utility and the above mentioned statement is a clear testimony to this fact. We expect it to be sporting indeed as it will be based on the iQ[AI] architecture that underpins the new XE sedan as well. It will also use the new Ingenium range of engines expected to power most of the Jaguar range in the future.
The F-Pace might go on sale in 2016 and although Jaguar is tight lipped about its unveiling, there is a possibility that it will be showcased at the Frankfurt Motor Show this year. Expect the vehicle to be launched in India within six months from the date of its global launch. It will compete with the Porsche Cayenne and the Range Rover Sport when it goes on sale.
