Jaguar has announced that it will showcase its F-Type range at the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show and while that may not come off as a big surprise to fans of the two-seater sports car, the range will include the much-awaited all-wheel drive version that will keep the crowd engaged at the brand’s show floor.
Jaguar has announced that the F-Type R coupe with AWD system can accelerate from zero to 100kmph in 3.9 seconds, making it 0.1 second quicker than the standard rear-wheel drive model. The top speed, meanwhile, remains the same at 300kmph.
Although we would have liked this new all-wheel drive model to shave off a bit more time in the sprint to 100kmph, the performance figures revealed are incredible nonetheless, especially considering that the all-wheel drive hardware adds considerable amount of bulk to the overall package.
The AWD F-Type will be shown at the 2014 LA Auto Show on November 19. Jaguar has plans to further expand the F-Type range which will eventually feature manual gearbox-equipped models as well.
