Italdesign, the new Italian designer-turned carmaker, revealed their first hypercar the Zerouno last year with an ultra-exclusive production run of just five units. Now, the carmaker intends to make a new car every year in exclusive numbers. And the newest product is the Zerouno Roadster revealed online ahead of its official debut at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show.
The open-top Zerouno gets a removable hard-top roof since the intricate design of the hypercar leaves no space for folding rooftop. All the outrageous design elements are retained to make the Zerouno Roadster look like a spaceship ready to take-off. Powering the Roadster will be the same Audi R8 derived 5.2-litre V10 producing 610bhp and 560Nm of firepower. Although the carmaker has not revealed any further performance figures of the new elite Roadster, we know the Coupe can do a 0-100kmph sprint in 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 330kmph. Expect a slight change in performance figures with the drop-top Zerouno.
Each of the Zerouno was sold for a whopping USD 1.6 million (approx. Rs 10 crores) apiece. There are rumours that the Roadster could fetch an eye-watering price tag of USD 2.4 million. Being part of the VW group with so many supercars under the banner is a huge boon for Italdesign. However, the Turin-based design and manufacturing company claims to build each car ground up on their own. More details of the Italdesign Zerouno Roadster will be revealed at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show.
