Though Isuzu doesn't have many passenger cars in their Indian line-up currently, we can expect the carmaker to add a few this year. These product unveilings will happen at the upcoming Auto Expo next month and will be launched in the course of the year.
Isuzu MU-X
Isuzu confirmed that they will bring a new product in place of the MU-7 sold in the Indian market. We expect it to be the MU-X seven-seater SUV, which came as a replacement to the Alterra or the MU-7. Sold in either a four-wheel-drive or two-wheel-drive combinations globally, the MU-X comes mated to a five-speed automatic gearbox. We can expect the Indian-spec MU-X to be powered by the 2.5-litre 4JK1-TC (HI) common rail direct injection intercooler mill that produces 136bhp of power and 320Nm.
D-Max
The D-Max is a pick-up truck sold in our country as a commercial vehicle. The carmaker might bring in a refreshed D-Max at the Auto Expo in both the single-cab or space-cab versions.
We also do expect Isuzu Motors to share their plan for 2016 knowing they will start operations at their new plant in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh in April this year.
