Isuzu recently updated the D-Max V-Cross range with a new top-spec Z-prestige trim priced at Rs 19.99 lakhs (ex-showroom). Here are the top four highlights of this new variant.
1. New engine
With Isuzu's focus on making the V-Cross more powerful and fuel-efficient, the new trim derives power from a 1.9-litre Ddi engine developed by the carmaker itself. On the other hand, the earlier versions were powered by a 2.5-litre diesel mill.
2. New automatic gearbox
All the versions of the V-Cross were only offered with a manual gearbox. However, now the new Z-Prestige variant is equipped with a six-speed automatic gearbox, which is a first in this segment.
3. New features
Apart from standard features from the high (Z) trim, this new limited edition Z-Prestige boasts of new features like live-surround speakers on the roof, six airbags and a BOS (Brake-Override System).
4. New interior
Unlike the beige-black cabin in the standard V-Cross, the Z-Prestige gets a dual-tone brown-grey combination for the cabin. The seats get artificial leather with perforation and there are soft parts on the dash and door trims too.
