- Gets new engine and transmission
- Available as new top-spec Z-prestige trim
- Continues with 2019 model year updates
Isuzu Motors has launched a new top-spec version of the D-Max V-Cross in India at Rs 19.99 lakhs. It gets a new 1.9-litre diesel mill that comes mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
The earlier versions of the V-Cross derived power from a 2.5-litre diesel engine. However, this new trim comes powered by a 1.9-litre Ddi motor developed by Isuzu with an aim to be powerful and fuel-efficient. It produces 150bhp of power and 350Nm of torque and comes mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox, which is a first in this segment.
All the new features and styling updates introduced this year for the standard Isuzu V-Cross will continue to be offered with this new limited edition. In fact, this one boasts of new features like live-surround speakers on the roof, six airbags and a BOS (Brake-Override System). It also flaunts a two-tone brown-grey combination perforated leather seats with soft parts on the dash and door trims unlike the all-black dash and trim from other variants.
The Isuzu D-Max V-Cross will now be offered in three variants - standard, high (Z) and this new limited edition Z-Prestige. The latter one will be offered in four colour options including sapphire blue, cosmic black, pearl white and ruby red. Meanwhile the other trims get the obsidian grey and titanium silver colour options as well. Bookings have commenced and deliveries are expected to begin by the end of this month.
