Isuzu Motors India has announched an increase of prices of their pick-ups and SUV from 01 January 2018. The hike in prices is expected to be around three to four per cent across the model range. The increase in prices ranges between Rs 15,000 to Rs 1 lakh on the vehicles’ ex-showroom price tag. The Japanese carmaker hasn’t specified any particular reason for the increase in prices.
Isuzu isn’t the first one to announce a price surge come 2018. Last month, Skoda announced a price hike of two to three per cent across their model range. It is a common practice for manufacturers to increase the prices of their product at the turn of the calendar year. This is usually done to compensate for the poor sale at the end of the calendar year. The end of the financial year within the next few months also tends to weigh with the manufacturers when changing the prices of their portfolio.
Isuzu currently sells a D-Max V-Cross lifestyle pickup truck and a MU-X full-size SUV in India across their 29 dealerships in the country.
