-New premium hatchback to take on the Honda Jazz, Maruti Baleno and Hyundai Elite i20
-Showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo
-To be underpinned by the upcoming Alpha platform
The interiors of a production spec Tata 45X were spotted inside a test vehicle. This is Tata’s new premium hatchback and was showcased in concept form as the 45X during the 2018 Auto Expo.
The spy images show that the car will get black interiors with chrome overlay. Despite the low quality of the image one can see that this car too will get the same instrument cluster found in the Tigor, Tiago and Nexon, thus concluding that this must be one of the signature elements of Tata cars.
There’s also a massive touchscreen system with a floating display, somewhat along the lines of what is available in the Nexon. In all probability it will be the same unit as both vehicles are roughly in the same price range.
The 45X, in production guise, will usher Tata into the premium hatchback fight. Here it will take on the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Honda Jazz, Hyundai Elite i20 and the Volkswagen Polo.
