SsangYong will soon unveil the fourth generation Rexton SUV at the upcoming 2016 Paris Motor Show. Ahead of its official debut, interior images of the Rexton have surfaced. The fourth generation model is expected to be around 50kgs lighter than the current generation. The new model with improved dynamics is also expected to offer better fuel economy figures.
As seen in pictures, the new SsangYong Rexton will sport a new three-spoke steering wheel and a redesigned centre console. We also believe that the SUV will get an electronic parking brake system. The upcoming vehicle will also offer more creature comforts and premium upholstery in comparison to its predecessor. The vehicle might also get a large TFT screen on the dashboard and a larger boot space with a folding third row seat for extra luggage space.
The next-gen SsangYong Rexton is expected to continue being powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine which puts out 178bhp of power. We believe that the SUV might also get a selectable all-wheel-drive system along with other safety features like lane departure warning, blind spot detection and airbags. More details about the upcoming vehicle will be known during the 2016 Paris Motor Show.
