Infiniti, Nissan’s luxury vehicle division, has made it a point to turn up at every automotive motor show with a radical concept. This time around, the Japanese carmaker has teased a new concept for the Detroit Motor Show. Based in North America, the Detroit Motor Show is an important platform for the Japanese carmaker and so is the new concept.
The new concept will preview the upcoming genre of the Infiniti vehicles and give us a glimpse of the Infiniti’s new design language. Alfonso Albaisa, SVP, Global Design, Infiniti, talking about the concept said, “(It is) a seamless and stunning new design philosophy demonstrating Infinity artistry in the new age of autonomy and breakthrough drivetrains.”
The teaser doesn’t reveal much but the carmaker has said that the concept will take the traditional sedan architecture to its next stage of evolution. There would be a smarter, compact and a less intrusive powertrain. The carmaker promises a long cabin with balanced proportions and a muscular stance. Since it previews the new era of the Infiniti vehicle, the new unnamed concept would be a turnaround for the carmaker in terms of appearance and technology.
The new concept would be joined by the retro-futuristic Prototype 9 at the Detroit stage. The 2018 North American International Auto show opens its gates on 13 January. Stay tuned to Carwale for a comprehensive coverage.
