Infiniti has raised the curtains off its new sports coupe, ahead of the concept’s public debut at the 2015 Detroit Motor Show. The Japanese luxury brand has released the first official image of this new concept which will eventually spawn a BMW 4 Series-rivalling model.
The Q60 Concept sits low and wide in a road-hugging stance hinting at its sporty driving dynamics. While the overall design looks fairly fresh, look closely and there are traces of the Q80 in its finer details. The latter was unveiled at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. The low roofline and quilted leather seats remind one of the full-size Q80, while the aerodynamic gills behind the front wheel arches are inherited from the Q50 Eau Rouge sports saloon concept.
As for the powertrain, the new Q60 could make use of the 3.7-litre V6 engine which is already used in the current Q60. Meanwhile, this new concept will be publicly unveiled on January 13 at the 2015 Detroit Motor Show.
