Back in May, the upcoming Tata Altroz was spotted at a TVC shoot, thereby indicating on its possible launch sometime soon. This time around, the Altroz premium hatchback from Tata Motors will be showcased in production-ready form by mid-July. The Altroz will be the second car from Tata Motors to be based on the IMPACT 2.0 design philosophy after the Harrier.
The Tata Altroz will be underpinned by a modular ALFA architecture and the company claims that the vehicle will be designed for five-star safety rating. Although the engine options will be known at the time of its official unveiling, it is believed that the vehicle will get three engine options – two petrol and one diesel.
More details about the vehicle will be known post its official unveiling in July. Post-launch, the Tata Altroz will compete against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Honda Jazz, Hyundai Elite i20 and the Toyota Glanza.
