-India bound in 2019
- Petrol and diesel power
-Expected to be underpinned by MQB A0-IN platform
-Rival for Renault Duster, Nissan Terrano and Hyundai Creta
The India-bound Volkswagen T-Cross has been leaked. The solitary image, which appears to be from a presentation, shows the undisguised T-Cross as it will look in production guise when unveiled later this year.
As expected it looks like a down-sized T-Roc and follows very similar design cues when you compare it to the Golf based SUV. Noticeable design cues include the grille, diamond cut alloy wheels and slightly sloping roofline at the rear. We’ve already spotted the T-Cross doing the rounds in Europe multiple times and have observed it enough over various stages of development to know that this is the production spec model.
What makes the T-Cross so important is that it will be one of the vehicles at the forefront of Volkswagen’s future charge for the Indian market. It will be a rival to Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster, Nissan Terrano in the D-segment.
