-Coupe-SUV version of Kodiaq
-Will be first be launched and built for Chinese market
- Five-seats
-2.0-litre petrol for Chinese market
The long rumoured Skoda Kodiaq GT was spotted sans camouflage ahead of its debut at the Chengdu Motor Show later this year. As the name suggests, it’s a coupe SUV and will be slotted alongside the regular roofed Kodiaq.
This new vehicle will be offered only as a five-seat model but retain the same dimensions as the regular Kodiaq thus offering more space at the rear. Since, this car will, at first, only be offered for China, the engine on offer is expected to be 2.0-litre petrol and will only be offered with a seven-speed DSG. However, this car is India-bound and is likely to be offered here with diesel power as well.
In the photos you can see that this vehicle sits lower than the standard Kodiaq (parked beside it) as well as lower than the other Audi vehicle surrounding it. The Kodiaq GT will be the first coupe SUV from the Czech automaker and will be a unique offering among a host of SUVs slated for launch over the next few years. Â
