- Kodiaq GT SUV-Coupe to be offered in five-seat layout
- To be powered by the existing 2.0-litre turbo engine
A while ago Skoda thrilled the Indian auto industry by introducing the seven-seat Kodiaq SUV in the country. This time around, the coupe version of the Kodiaq called the Kodiaq GT has been spotted in China. The vehicle is expected to be positioned above the Kodiaq in India and will be limited to a five-seat layout.
The Kodiaq GT Coupe will be showcased in production form at the Chengdu Auto Show which is due to be held in September. The vehicle will get a SUV-Coupe roofline with wide arches and a rear window spoiler. Mechanically, it is expected to continue being powered by a 2.0-litre turbo engine that generates 150bhp of power at 3500rpm and 340Nm of torque at 1750rpm. The engine will come mated to a DSG automatic gearbox and AWD system.
More details about the vehicle will be known only post its official unveiling at the upcoming Chengdu Motor Show. Likely to be positioned over the regular model, the GT version is expected to be offered with new set of features.
