In recent times, the upcoming MG Hector was spied testing in India with a heavy camouflage on multiple occasions. This time around, the SUV has been spotted sans camouflage in production-ready form in London while shooting for a TVC featuring British actor Benedict Cumberbatch, popularly known for his role as Sherlock Holmes.
The MG Hector SUV shares its underpinnings and body panels with the Baojun 530 SUV. Based on what can be seen, the Hector gets chrome treatment for the fascia and brushed-aluminium faux skid plate on the front and rear bumper. Moreover, the vehicle will also get a set of diamond cut alloy wheels. The India-bound SUV is expected to be offered with a long list of creature comfort features in the form of a large vertically mounted infotainment system, premium upholstery, panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera and more.
Under the hood, the Hector is expected to be powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine which will come mated to the six-speed manual and automatic option. It is also believed that MG will offer a Fiat-sourced 2.0-litre multijet diesel engine option.
More details about the vehicle will be known in the days to come.
