The 2019 Porsche Macan has made its world premiere in Shanghai. It was evident that the car was due for a facelift when it was snapped testing in South Africa. The pictures that were recently released confirm that the carmaker has made changes to the exterior as well as the interior. Let's take a look at these tweaks through this picture gallery of the car that might go on sale in India early next year.
The most prominent ones include a redesigned bumper, new LED projector headlamps and a full-width LED strip between the tail lights. A wide range of 20- and 21-inch alloy wheels are also on offer.
The cabin layout remains the same but features a redesigned dashboard with Porsche's Communication Management system.
Another change is that the central air vents have been repositioned to sit below the display. We are not sure how functional this is, but it still looks visually appealing.
That also brings us to the new technologies that this Macan comes fitted with. Like the Panamera and Cayenne, the centre console touchscreen has increased in size from 7-inch to 11-inch.
A new standard Connect Plus module now promises enhanced connectivity. In addition, Porsche will offer an optional 911-inspired GT sports steering wheel featuring a Sport Response button.
The carmaker is yet to confirm the 2019 Macan's revised engine line-up due to delays in the WLTP testing process. We expect the Indian line-up to continue getting the current powertrain options.
Only few details have been mentioned about the Macan’s driving dynamics suggesting that fine-tuning of the chassis has brought out improvements in stability and comfort.
