The upcoming premium SUV from Nissan, the Kicks has been revealed ahead of its official launch in India in January 2019. The India-spec model gets unique set of features in the form of LED projector headlights, quick cooling auto AC with rear vents, a leather-wrapped soft-touch dashboard and door trims, roof rail with 100kg loading capacity, one-litre bottle holder, premium leather stitched seats and a shark fin antenna. Bookings for the SUV will commence on 14 December.
The upcoming Nissan Kicks will be available in petrol and diesel options. The petrol version gets a 1.5-litre H4K engine mated to a five-speed manual transmission to generate 104bhp of power and 142Nm of torque. The diesel version, on the other hand, gets a 1.5-litre K9K DCI engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission that generates 109bhp of power and 240Nm of torque. In terms of safety, the SUV gets airbags, ABS with EBD and braking assistance as standard.
Nissan also boasts of the best in class features such as least turning radius of 5.2-metres and the Nissan Connect. The Japanese car manufacturer further claims to offer the best in the segment and first in class features like around view monitor and a floating eight-inch infotainment system respectively. The SUV offers a large configurable boot space of 400-litres, along with other convenience features such as front fog lamps with corning function, cruise control, eco mode and a decently good ground clearance of 210mm.
