Ford revealed the sixth generation Mustang a week ago, they also announced that a right-hand drive Mustang is in the making for global markets. Interestingly a report on Autoevolution says, the Mustang would be available in 110 countries worldwide but not in India. New markets like Bangladesh, China, Nepal and Srilanka are included in the list.
The Mustang was available in some European countries spanning 15 years, but after 1979 it wasn’t sold officially in the European markets. The Mustang will be sold in European countries again after its launch next year.
Ford has always given significance to the Indian market by developing India specific products like the Ikon and Figo. If this map is true, then it is surprising that Ford has left out India from its global Mustang plan.
The Mustang is one of the most iconic muscle car in America; it has a big fan following across the World. The New Mustang is a breakthrough from the car it replaces, it features things new to the Mustang like a new 4-cylinder petrol engine and if rumours are to be believed a diesel Mustang would be on the options list.
