The specifications, variant and feature list of the India-bound Ford Mustang have been revealed. Showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo, this iconic American muscle car is expected to hit Indian shores later this year.
India will get the Mustang in a single variant – GT which is powered by a massive 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine that produces 395bhp and 515Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed dual clutch automatic.
This Mustang has been fitted with a host of driver aids like ESC, traction control and ABS. It gets an integral link rear suspension and something called Mustang Track Apps. This shows you information like g-forces, braking times and acceleration times as well as Christmas tree lights for an accurate launch.
The car also gets four driving modes Normal, Sport+, track and snow/wet. Of this track mode unleashes the car’s complete supercharged strength to give you maximum power.
The car is being offered in six shades - white, silver, yellow, grey, black and iconic red which is the most known colour for the car and the one that was shown to us at the Expo. We believe that Ford will price the Mustang in the region of Rs 75 lakh to Rs 80 lakh. This version of Mustang is now in its sixth generation and was unveiled in 2014.
