The India-made Jeep Compass has been unveiled and will be launched here in July with production beginning in June. It is the first locally assembled model from the American automaker and is expected to lead Jeep’s number game in India.
During the unveiling, the automaker revealed many details about the car including an extensive safety feature list which will be standard across various trim levels for the SUV. Many of these features focus on ensuring a better driving experience and here is a complete list of the safety suite on the new Jeep Compass.
Airbags
Front airbags are standard across all models while the 4X4 variants will get six airbags across the range. All models also get disc brakes as a standard.
Driver aids
The list of driver aids is quite massive and includes things like a stability programme, Hill-start assist, ABS with EBD, HBFC and EBP. In addition, it also gets cornering fog lamps, Xenon headlamps and windshield with anti-fog coating.
Crash protection
As a part of the crash protection list, the Compass gets all aluminium front and rear crumple zones as well as electronic rollover mitigation protection.
We believe that all the variants will get keyless entry while the top-of-the-line models are expected to get button-start in addition to keyless entry.
