India made Duster SUV contributes to 56 per cent of Dacia’s sales in the UK annually

The 10,000th Dacia Car sold in the United Kingdom is none other than our Indian made Duster SUV which has now been found to contribute to 56 per cent of Dacia’s revenue. Renault India began exporting Dacia badged Duster SUVs from their Chennai plant back in December 2012. This was in several international markets like UK, South Africa, Western Africa, Malaysia and Singapore.

It has been just about ten months since the first model of the Dacia went on sale in the UK and the manufacturer sold 10,000 units within this short period of time. These include a mix of 5,600 Dusters and 5,400 Sanderos both enjoying a good surplus value. Reports say that this estimated surplus revenue is divided in the form of 35 per cent from the Duster and 38 per cent from the Sandero.

The Dacia Duster is apparently the most affordable SUV sold in the UK also believed to be good value for money product. The immense increase in sales also shows it has become an acceptable brand across UK the best performing dealers being from Scotland and Wales.
